Appy vs Shelby Valley

Bell County is growing considerably. I think they'll be moving up to 5A before long.

Belfy is another really good team in East KY, and I think they are ranked the #1 3A team in the state right now.

Shelby Valley High School covers the area of Shelby Valley Dorton, Virgie, and Robinson Creek It has 4 middle Schools located in these communities that will attend the Valley. The valley school replaced the old Dorton and Virgie High Schools. Students in the Elkhorn area attend East Ridge High School, Pike Central High School Millard/Mullins areas, Pikeville City Schools are within the cty limits these are all located in Pike Co. There may be another school one that includes some of the students from the old Phelps/ Feds Creek High Schools area not sure about that area.

It is on topic, we were talking about the area Shelby Valley draws kids from....but you would have to read more than those two items to figure that out. Easy mistake.

I've been reading about them on the KY preps. I remember reading a comment that they were almost at the 5A level now.

According to the enrollment reports from the KHSAA they've slowly declined since '02 (avg. enroll. listed at 877 then).
